COVID-19 Update

Due to the continuing harmful health effects of COVID-19 (a.k.a., “Coronavirus”), we are contacting you by mail regarding any progression of symptoms in your asbestos related condition that you may be encountering at this time. We are concerned that your decreased lung capacity caused by your asbestos disease and exposure places you at a higher risk of health concerns associated with COVID-19.

If you have been advised by a physician that your asbestos-related pulmonary disease or illness has worsened, then you need to closely follow your doctor’s health recommendations, and we are asking you to please contact our office by email, through our website portal, or by returning the enclosed form via mail. If you are seeing a new doctor, had recent chest x-rays, a recent CT scan of your chest, or a new diagnosis of mesothelioma or a new cancer originating in your lungs, colon, throat, stomach, kidney or pancreas, then it is VERY IMPORTANT that you provide our office with this updated medical information and pathology report substantiating the new diagnosis.

You can mail this new report or information to our office.

More importantly, we are asking you to provide us with your email address or the email address of a trusted family member or friend, so that we can safely communicate with you during this health emergency. Along with this email address, we are asking that you verify your telephone number and mailing address and provide us with the contact information of a trusted family member or friend that we can contact in an emergency.

You should pay close attention to the warnings issued by your doctor and the Center for Disease Control (“CDC”), and take all necessary precautions to protect yourself during this ongoing pandemic, including frequent hand washing, wearing a face covering when in close contact with others, practicing social distancing by keeping a 6 foot distance from others in public, and by staying at home whenever possible.
